Garden Design

As outdoor space comes more and more at a premium, how we use it is continually developing. Most of us require our garden to be a multipurpose space where we can relax, play, entertain, and maybe even grow food. Throughout my design work there is a focus on making the most of the available space, whether you have a small balcony or a plot several acres in size. Every little bit deserves consideration so it serves you well and looks great all year round.

Designing your outdoor space

To produce your garden design I will work with you through the main elements of the design process and then, if you would like, also guide you through the process of having your garden built and planted. The usual steps include:
  • Inital meeting and site visit
  • Project proposal, site survey & analysis
  • Presentation of proposed design
  • Delivery of final design plans
  • Contractor tendering process (where necessary)
  • Design build
I offer various packages to suit your specific circumstances and budget so please contact me if you would like more information.

Understanding your requirements

During our initial consultation we discuss all your requirements. This will range from practical aspects such as how you want to use your space, through to aesthetic considerations such as your likes and dislikes when it comes to materials for the hard landscaping, and colours and forms of the type of plants you may enjoy. We will also talk through how much time you will be able to dedicate to looking after your new garden or if you will require some help with garden maintenance.
